It was formally established in 1933 to remember Major Willie Redmond who died in 1917 in the Great War. In the decades since it has given joy to generations of Wexford families and it remains a favourite with Wexford families today. Redmond Park deserves a blog!PShttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04225288724470427577noreply@blogger.comBlogger95125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1046683350962807185.post-61155038671889583852023-04-04T20:53:00.003+01:002023-04-10T17:54:10.253+01:00New picnic benches and tables in Redmond Park<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCLKfMipPFJuKpJDoVsVFlUiSlhK-TiJw58atcy6f_yEwWEJ2ddFuS3n0UQeJli_5ez0WdwjEtdMIdcUuO9N6Oas8E1Ps3lYqplfGAsL_pPrFnQ3zZlW6_YWrH8CoECq8qO-3mgWVL7GdRyd6hDZbkewvZyM_GjEByiTO0HpIh43T7-9966_9hDmNnhA/s960/329773439_1218474928799034_7099294048607850765_n.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="960" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCLKfMipPFJuKpJDoVsVFlUiSlhK-TiJw58atcy6f_yEwWEJ2ddFuS3n0UQeJli_5ez0WdwjEtdMIdcUuO9N6Oas8E1Ps3lYqplfGAsL_pPrFnQ3zZlW6_YWrH8CoECq8qO-3mgWVL7GdRyd6hDZbkewvZyM_GjEByiTO0HpIh43T7-9966_9hDmNnhA/s320/329773439_1218474928799034_7099294048607850765_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><p></p><p> </p><blockquote style="border: none; margin: 0px 0px 0px 40px; padding: 0px; text-align: left;"><p></p><div>Members of Wexford Working Men's Club with one of the new picnic benches they made for Redmond Park with the support of the Access Section of Wexford County Council. </div><p></p></blockquote><blockquote style="border: none; margin: 0px 0px 0px 40px; padding: 0px; text-align: left;"><p></p><div>The park also has two lovely new chess tables. The initiative, developed by the Access Section of Wexford County Council, provides the opportunity for communities to enhance accessibility. Redmond Park, in the Borough District of Wexford, was just one of a number of community amenities in the county selected under the initiative. The park received improved accessibility seating, picnic benches (designed and constructed by WWMC) and chessboard tables wth seating. The work included extensive ground preparation to ensure safe and easy access to seating. It also included a thorough re-gritting of the boules playing surface.</p><p>The photograph shows members of Love Redmond Park and Wexford Working Men's Club with Wexford County Council Cathaoirleach Cllr George Lawlor, Director of Services Eamonn Hore and members of the Access Section at the launch of the initiative at Council HQ, Carriglawn, Wexford. It can be either a shopfront for individual enterprises or a community hub of farmers and other local producers working together. OFN is currently operating in 9 countries, with 1000’s of local producers using it to reach markets to sell their products and support their local food economies in these difficult times.</div>

We have just endured a couple of months of lockdown. And, just like that, we are up to mid-Summer. With the easing of restrictions, people are a bit easier about getting out and about. One can almost feel the ambient tension levels falling away as communities fling open front doors and venture forth again onto the streets. We are, after all, social creatures at heart. Good social interaction makes for good communities. It's time to get out and meet the neighbours. It's time to visit your local park!<br />

“Talking History” is an initiative of Wexford County Council Public Library Service, in partnership with the Wexford Borough District, launched in April of this year. The project is all part of Redmond 100, celebrating the legacy of John E. Redmond and his family. You will find "Talking History" plaques at three sites of historical importance: Redmond Square, Redmond Park and the site of John E. Redmond’s interred remains at St. Johns Graveyard. Scan the code on each plaque with your smart phone and feel history come to life as you are brought back in time. Broadcaster Anne Doyle narrates the story of the monument in Redmond Square. The script for this site was originated by historian Monica Crofton. The playwright Billy Roche gives voice to Major Willie Redmond, brother of John, at his bust in Redmond Park. Wexford-born actor, Gary Lydon, tells the story of John E. Redmond at his burial site in St. John’s Graveyard at Johns St. Wexford. This was also scripted by Mr Billy Roche.PShttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04225288724470427577noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1046683350962807185.post-89922302437570649972018-07-09T12:41:00.001+01:002018-07-09T12:42:06.910+01:00Another Successful Picnic<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The Love Redmond Park group recently held its annual Picnic in the Park. The park was a riot of colour and laughter as families made the most of the glorious weather. With primary schools having closed a couple of days previously for the Summer holidays the children just couldn’t wait to see each other again!<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div>
<br />
There were obstacle races with Menapians AC, novelty games and tug 'o war with Slam Entertainment and football skills with local GAA club, The Vols. The Rice children gave an awesome display of juggling. The Fairy & The Fiddler proved to be one of the star attractions as ‘The Fairy’ swirled hoops of fire while the amazing Dansky drove her into a Dervish-like frenzy with his exquisite fiddle playing. As always Red Moon Theatre Puppet Show was a big hit. From there it was a hop, step and a bit of a wait for an ice-cream before getting in line to have one’s face painted.<br />
<div>
<br />
There was a whole afternoon of great music starting with songwriter Kevin Tierney, followed by a lively trad and folk set courtesy of Alice and James Mcintyre and Michael Murphy. The award-winning Rachel Grace delivered a captivating and hugely well-received set. The big-voiced Hayley Crosbie drew great applause for her rendition of some old favs. It was left to headlining Blues, Rock and R&B band the submersibles to bring proceedings to a close.<br />
<br />
Overall there was a great reaction to the day with the mix of activities going down very well. As always we say a huge THANK YOU to the stewards, volunteers and performers who helped make the day the success it was. Thanks also to Civil Defence and Wexford County Council, especially District Manager Angie Laffan, for their support. </div>

Love Redmond Park holds its annual Picnic in the Park on Sun, July 1 (2-5pm). This year the group has decided to celebrate the end of the school year by having the event at the start of Summer rather than the end as has been the case in the past. <br />
<a name='more'></a>As usual there will be a lively mix of fun activities including Red Moon Theatre Puppet Show, the amazing juggling phenomenon that is the Rice Family, street circus act The Fairy & The Fiddler, crafty fun and arts zone for younger children, face-painting, novelty games and tug ‘o war with Slam Entertainment, ball skills with The Volunteers and obstacle races with Menapians AC. Buí Bolg’s confused "Explorers" will be there, lost and looking for directions. There will be live music from the submersibles, Rachel Grace, Hayley Crosbie and the traditional musicians of Loch Garman Comhaltas. As always, there is no admission charge.<br />
<br />
Exciting programme aside, LRP spokesperson, Senan O'Reilly, says that the single most important element in ensuring a successful Picnic is the presence of so many families enjoying themselves. "Any opportunity for a community to come together is to be welcomed," he said. "While the park was set up in 1931 to honour the memory of Major Willie Redmond its formal title is the Memorial Children's Park. We are delighted that Redmond Park still plays such a large part in the entertainment of Wexford children, and that it is as much a vital and appreciated part of the community now as it was back then."<br />
<br />
Mr O'Reilly acknowledged the support of Wexford County Council and, in particular, District Manager Angie Laffan. With regard to the mooted development of the park he said that the Council will presently be announcing details of works to be undertaken along with timelines. </div>

<br />
In June 1917 Major Willie Redmond took a bullet at the Battle of Messines in Belgium. He dies from his injuries. The following year his brother John Edward Redmond MP died.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
A just released book, 'Judging Redmond & Carson' by Prof Alvin Jackson, compares the approach of John Redmond with that of Unionist leader Edward Carson. According to Jackson Redmond was so committed to securing Home Rule that he was prepared to sacrifice his own self-dignity in his dealings with the government of the day. Carson, on the other hand, was more bullish in his dealings and gave as good as he got.<br />
<br />
One wonders how it would have been for Redmond, and Ireland, had he stared Lloyd George down, and, in the process, upstaged the Republicans, by playing the dissent and rebellion wild card? Even the threat of it might have gotten Home Rule over the line before the War offered the government an opportunity to further fudge the issue. So much for speculation and supposition. 1916 happened and, thenceforth, everything that Redmond and the Irish Parliamentary Party stood for was deemed irrelevant. With the passing of time the contribution of the Redmonds has been reappraised. While the Easter Rising, or rather the way in which the main protagonists were dispatched, was the catalyst for what followed, John Redmond and the IPP played their part.<br />
<br />
The re-scheduled ceremony of remembrance and wreathlaying to mark the 100th anniversary of the death of John Edward Redmond MP takes place at John's Street Graveyard on Sun, 15th April at 3pm. We are absolutely delighted that Wexford County Council has just announced work will begin on Redmond Park in September 2018.<br />
<a name='more'></a></div>
<div style="color: #1d2129; font-family: "SF Optimized", system-ui, -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, ".SFNSText-Regular", sans-serif; font-size: 14px; letter-spacing: -0.11999999731779099px; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
This follows representations we have had over the past couple of years with the Council. Working together, Love Redmond Park and the Council commissioned an architect to draw up plans for how the park might be improved in such a way as to preserve its special town park appeal and in recognising the fact that it is primarily a children's park. The Counc<span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline; font-family: inherit;">il liked the look of the plans and are now happy to push the project along.</span></div>
<div class="text_exposed_show" style="color: #1d2129; display: inline; font-family: "SF Optimized", system-ui, -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, ".SFNSText-Regular", sans-serif; font-size: 14px; letter-spacing: -0.11999999731779099px;">
<div style="font-family: inherit; margin-bottom: 6px;">
The Council has budgeted €250k for the project. This will cover a substantial part of the submitted proposal which, in recognition of the possibility of budgetary constraints, had been prepared in modules so as to allow work to progress in phases.</div>
<div style="font-family: inherit; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
We look forward to working with the Council in bringing about the biggest changes the park will have seen since it opened in 1933.</div>

A number of events have taken place in Wexford looking at the life, times and legacy of Willie and at the political contribution of the Redmond family generally. These included an ecumenical ceremony of remembrance and wreath-laying at Redmond Park on June 11 to mark the 100th anniversary of the death of Major William Redmond MP. This was attended by descendants of the man himself. There was also a Major Willie Redmond exhibition along with a very well attended commemorative lecture by Jarlath Glynn at Wexford Library earlier the same week.<br />

Any regular visitor to Redmond Park will have noticed that the gates are now open around the clock. The decision to go with the open-all-hours policy was taken last month by the Council. We expressed our strongest reservations at the decision.<br />
<a name='more'></a></div>
<div style="color: #1d2129; font-family: 'San Francisco', -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, '.SFNSText-Regular', sans-serif; font-size: 14px; letter-spacing: -0.23999999463558197px; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
One of the main reasons Love Redmond Park was set up was to ensure the park fulfilled the remit of the trust by which it was established: to be for the enjoyment of the children of Wexford. </div>
<div style="color: #1d2129; font-family: 'San Francisco', -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, '.SFNSText-Regular', sans-serif; font-size: 14px; letter-spacing: -0.23999999463558197px; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
We are gratified to see that the number of p<span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline; font-family: inherit;">eople visiting Redmond Park in recent years has been on the up and up. Visitors comment on how well the park looks, how little rubbish there is and, in general, how wonderful it is to see it once again been appreciated for the valuable community resource that it is. This has been achieved by the community coming together and working with the local authority for the common good.</span></div>
<div class="text_exposed_show" style="color: #1d2129; display: inline; font-family: 'San Francisco', -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, '.SFNSText-Regular', sans-serif; font-size: 14px; letter-spacing: -0.23999999463558197px;">
<div style="font-family: inherit; margin-bottom: 6px;">
It goes without saying that we do not want the park to go back to the way it was in the past when many families were reluctant to go there at all. For this reason it is now more important than ever that the community actively embraces, and takes ownership of, the park. It is a community resource which will only survive through careful nurturing and through being appreciated as a vital part of the fabric of that community. </div>
<div style="font-family: inherit; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
We had reports of a boisterous bunch there last night. While they kept some of those living closest to the park from getting an early night's sleep they did not cause any damage. There was some litter, not too much. </div>
<div style="font-family: inherit; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
While we cannot stop people going into the park at any time - as in we do not have the power to do so (nor do we want it!) - the only thing we can do on such occasions is contact the Gardai and let the Council know every time it happens. </div>
<div style="font-family: inherit; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
The 24/7 open-gate policy is, the Council has assured us, on a trial basis. If there is any increase in anti-social behaviour the locked gate policy will be brought back.</div>

Love Redmond Park hosted its annual Picnic in the Park Last Sunday. The event had been re-scheduled from its original date due to adverse weather.<a name='more'></a><br /><br />Picnic in the Park does two things: it tips the hat to Major Willie Redmond and the Redmond family, to whom the park is dedicated; it also celebrates the fact that this, the Memorial Children's Park, is a park for the children of Wexford.<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-layout-grid-align: none; mso-pagination: none; text-autospace: none;">

The children of Wexford certainly made the park their own on Sunday. And there was more than enough in the way of entertainment to keep them occupied. Perennial favourites Red Moon Theatre had the younger ones petrified and exhilarated in equal measure with their fabulous puppet show. Oonagh Latchford had lines of just-designed bookmarks fluttering in the wind which the artists got to bring home with them. Lisa and Abigail were run off their feet in the Red Moon Arts Zone. Menapians Athletics Club put budding athletes through their paces sprinting, hurdling and javelin-throwing while the Volunteers GAA Club tested their ball skills. The day was sound-tracked with live music courtesy of John Stewart and the submersibles punctuated by loud cries of “Oh yes he did”! <br /><br />Faces painted and clutching perfectly-made balloon animals they headed off at the end of the day, tired but happy. <br /><br /> Love Redmond Park extends its gratitude to Civil Defence and the St Patrick’s Day crew for helping to ensure that the event ran so smoothly. They also thank Wexford District Council, Lantern Events, Coffee Express and the local volunteers for their invaluable support.</div>

If at first you don't succeed, put your faith in the Child of Prague! The weather got in the way of our initial effort to put on our annual Picnic in the Park. We are happy to report that, following ostentatious scenes of unseemly and obsequious beseeching at the altars of the Sun Gods, backhanders to pliable weather forecasters, even intercessions to a wax-coated Infant Jesus of Prague statue, Picnic in the Park goes ahead this Sunday.<br />
<br />
While the forecast for the afternoon to be dry it is worth remembering that we are now into the 'season of mists and mellow fruitfulness'. Bring coats and ground-sheets / camping chairs.<br />
<br />
Picnickers can look forward to a lively mix of entertainment including a fabulous puppet show, a children’s arts zone, obstacles races, football skills, live music, hoola-hooping, face-painting, hair-braiding and much more. <br />
<br />
The organisers encourage everyone to bring a picnic basket and a rug or camping seats. Civil Defence will be on hand to deal with any minor emergencies.PShttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04225288724470427577noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1046683350962807185.post-9458434756876905962016-08-21T22:16:00.001+01:002016-08-21T22:16:37.165+01:00Picnic in the Park Postponed Due to Inclement WeatherOur annual Picnic in the Park has been put back to Sunday, Sept 4. The project is part of GIY's 'Together We Grow' initiative. Wexford County Council is supporting it. The Chamber of Commerce along with a number of local community groups will do the heavy lifting!<br />
<a name='more'></a> <br />
<br />
The site selected for the project is situated between the Chamber offices and Redmond Park. The idea to involved a number of community groups in the setting up and maintenance of the garden came from GIY. They have found that this approach leads to a stronger, happier and more empowered local community. <br />
<br />
Although the space is small the plan is to have a good range of fruit trees and bushes, edible and medicinal herbs, a selection of colourful and scented flowers and shrubs, a compost area and rainwater harvesting. The sketch below gives an idea of how it will look (although it's in two parts it is one continuous area).<br />

Wexford County Council recently made a decision to sell a field which borders Parklands estate on one side and Redmond Park on the other. Some Councillors expressed reservations about this decision at their last meeting. Expect the matter to be on the agenda again for September's meeting.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
Around the same time the 'For Sale' sign went up the Council installed fencing blocking off access between Parklands and Redmond Park. This has generated a strong reaction from some local residents as the Council had, just a short time previously, made very worthwhile improvements to the access route from Parklands to Redmond Park making the route much safer and more attractive.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqeo0G8QFBV8kW4gZAMTf_wDYk6359Ktlm8V5Lm8FKAdod1yfbAn7wnS2j1Mo3jjP5TTo3av69jaDPsqyl5g38saE8g5HFsuCtDmHvd1pCs1PjgzusCoyJWONmazlU9dS8vFQz-dm5te7z/s1600/2016-07-25+10.49.18+HDR.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqeo0G8QFBV8kW4gZAMTf_wDYk6359Ktlm8V5Lm8FKAdod1yfbAn7wnS2j1Mo3jjP5TTo3av69jaDPsqyl5g38saE8g5HFsuCtDmHvd1pCs1PjgzusCoyJWONmazlU9dS8vFQz-dm5te7z/s320/2016-07-25+10.49.18+HDR.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
A spokesperson for the Love Redmond Park says that the group had approached the Council in recent months regarding the possibility of a creating a Wexford Community Garden in the adjoining space. The fact that there is pressure on local authorities all over the country to build more residential housing, especially of the affordable kind, may prove to be a factor in influencing the decision the Council takes on what to do with it.<br />
<br />
Whatever happens, it would be good to see some manner of green space / corridor retained here especially as it is accepted that access to the latter makes for happier and healthier neighbourhoods.<br />
<br />
As regards the blocked access we reckon that the pathway will be opened again in the near future.PShttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04225288724470427577noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1046683350962807185.post-7145064498576435612016-06-07T12:06:00.001+01:002016-06-07T12:08:14.217+01:00Wexford Community Garden - an idea whose time has arrived!<div style="color: #1d2129; font-family: 'San Francisco', -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, '.SFNSText-Regular', sans-serif; font-size: 14px; letter-spacing: -0.23999999463558197px; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
The Council has cleared off the field that runs along the bottom of Parklands (backing on to the rear of the houses on Hill Street). For years this field has quietly lain there growing wilder and more impenetrable. Look at it now!<br />

We have spoken with the Council on a number of occasions over the years about the possibilities for this space. Most recently, as part of our proposed plan for improving Redmond Park, and<span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline; font-family: inherit;"> following consultations with local residents, we said that this space should become a new Community Garden for Wexford. </span></div>
<div class="text_exposed_show" style="color: #1d2129; display: inline; font-family: 'San Francisco', -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, '.SFNSText-Regular', sans-serif; font-size: 14px; letter-spacing: -0.23999999463558197px;">
<div style="font-family: inherit; letter-spacing: inherit; margin-bottom: 6px;">
We will shortly call a public meeting in order to get the process of establishing the Community Garden project off the ground. In the meantime we encourage you to have a look at the space and let your imagination run riot. We need ideas! We also ask that you contact your local Councillor to ensure that he/she is on side.<br />

We had a very productive meeting last night at which we discussed improvements we want to bring to Redmond Park. Apart from local residents the meeting was attended by representatives of Wexford in Bloom, Wexford Tidy Towns, Future-Proof Wexford, the arts community, event organisers, local business and the Council.<br />
<a name='more'></a></div>
<div style="color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
The meeting heard how, while Councillors had voted last year to invest in improvements at the park, the executive says that the proposed new park at Killeens is th<span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline;">eir priority. </span></div>
<div class="text_exposed_show" style="color: #141823; display: inline; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px;">
We say that it makes more sense to maintain and properly manage the only formal park the town has before developing any new park. </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
We also say that since the Council has decided to stall, indefinitely, on developing a new park at Carcur there is much more incentive to make necessary improvements at Redmond Park. Apart from the large catchment area served by the park, the fact that it is such a short distance from town centre means it is hugely accessible for families visiting town. </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
There were many interesting suggestions at the meeting as to how the park might be improved including a new play-ground, a teens area, a skateboard structure, an exercise circuits loop, restoration of the pond and the old French drain, nurturing the park's biodiversity side and creating a dog-walking area. There was general agreement that the park should be expanded to include the adjoining area at the Parklands corner. </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
The meeting decided that, before making any decisions on what works to proceed with, Love Redmond Park and the Council should engage the services of engineers and designers so as to produce a workable and affordable plan, this plan to cover all aspects of any proposed redevelopment.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
A Love Redmond Park delegation is meeting with the relevant Director of Services at Wexford County Council to kick-start the process.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
The year 2017 is an important one for Redmond Park as it is the anniversary of the death of Major Willie Redmond. Love Redmond Park would very much like to make that a year to remember.</div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiQfEBsRQhwfC3L7bg7yuyaVsU31SSOkR3ehcqUuL-mOVdFdW9-OwGqEdz_ACLtyUgbgALLcFOfPFyu_TiwwiVZjiTZFGaWN4udCWOmjEo0jWQ6djOynTCTj79eaWhik4GEVl284NN53vB/s1600/12640463_1674600032793157_8194137591387789860_o.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiQfEBsRQhwfC3L7bg7yuyaVsU31SSOkR3ehcqUuL-mOVdFdW9-OwGqEdz_ACLtyUgbgALLcFOfPFyu_TiwwiVZjiTZFGaWN4udCWOmjEo0jWQ6djOynTCTj79eaWhik4GEVl284NN53vB/s320/12640463_1674600032793157_8194137591387789860_o.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; margin-bottom: 6px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; margin-bottom: 6px;">
Everyone knows that Redmond Park is a wonderful amenity for the town of Wexford. However, after eight decades of valuable service to the community it is looking a tad tired. Last year we got a commitment from the Council to invest in necessary, even essential, improvements to the park. Sometimes such commitments can take their time in arriving at the implementation stage! </div>
<div style="color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
With this in mind we reckoned it would be opportune for us to c<span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline;">all a public meeting to hear how the people of Wexford would like their park to look. This meeting takes place at Fusion Café, Monck Street on Wednesday, February 10 at 7pm. We have asked the Council to send a representative so that we can find out what are their present plans are for the park. We have also asked members of the Council to attend.</span></div>
<div class="text_exposed_show" style="color: #141823; display: inline; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px;">
We hope this meeting will prove constructive and that it will serve to shunt forward the process of getting work started on the park. Please wear your 'positive' hat to this meeting as we want to make things happen!</div>
