We are absolutely delighted that Wexford County Council has just announced work will begin on Redmond Park in September 2018.

This follows representations we have had over the past couple of years with the Council. Working together, Love Redmond Park and the Council commissioned an architect to draw up plans for how the park might be improved in such a way as to preserve its special town park appeal and in recognising the fact that it is primarily a children's park. The Council liked the look of the plans and are now happy to push the project along.

The Council has budgeted €250k for the project. This will cover a substantial part of the submitted proposal which, in recognition of the possibility of budgetary constraints, had been prepared in modules so as to allow work to progress in phases.

We look forward to working with the Council in bringing about the biggest changes the park will have seen since it opened in 1933.
