Redmond Park receives upgrade under community initiative

Love Redmond Park and Wexford Working Men's Club (WWMC) were delighted to be part of an innovative community engagement initiative. The initiative, developed by the Access Section of Wexford County Council, provides the opportunity for communities to enhance accessibility. Redmond Park, in the Borough District of Wexford, was just one of a number of community amenities in the county selected under the initiative. The park received improved accessibility seating, picnic benches (designed and constructed by WWMC) and chessboard tables wth seating. The work included extensive ground preparation to ensure safe and easy access to seating. It also included a thorough re-gritting of the boules playing surface.

The photograph shows members of Love Redmond Park and Wexford Working Men's Club with Wexford County Council Cathaoirleach  Cllr George Lawlor, Director of Services Eamonn Hore and members of the Access Section at the launch of the initiative at Council HQ, Carriglawn, Wexford. (Missing from the photo is Cllr Maura Bell.)
