The Memorial Children's Park, or Redmond Park as it is more widely known, is a quaint and charming oasis right in the heart of Wexford town. It was formally established in 1933 to remember Major Willie Redmond who died in 1917 in the Great War. In the decades since it has given joy to generations of Wexford families and it remains a favourite with Wexford families today. Redmond Park deserves a blog!

Summer in the Park
We have just endured a couple of months of lockdown. And, just like that, we are up to mid-Summer. With the easing of restrictions, people are a bit easier about getting out and about. One can almost feel the ambient tension levels falling away as communities fling open front doors and venture forth again onto the streets. We are, after all, social creatures at heart. Good social interaction makes for good communities. It's time to get out and meet the neighbours. It's time to visit your local park!
